Target Audience Reflection

The dominating female character on the poster would attract young women who feel represented. People want to read the title, but it is not visible enough, they expect to have this information easily available on the poster. The background is vague and could be anywhere but the unusual circular window might connect people to a different side to the character, linking to the 'coming of age' genre.

The poster is not as vibrant and colourful as existing posters, this will need to change to be more obvious.

Photoshop Effect Practice

Overlays:

My aim was to make an simple overlay on my character. I started with my background.

I then added the image of the character.

After making the third layer the background, I selected 'Add Clipping Mask' which made it an overlay. I could then change the opacity of the layer.

I then changed the contrast and saturation of the character image to make her appear ghostly. To add a holographic effect, I would move the top layer of brick to suggest some refraction.
